The short version

The job description text you paste into the analyzer is processed entirely inside your own browser. It is never uploaded to a server, never logged, and never stored anywhere by us — JD Decoder doesn't have a backend or a database to store it in even if we wanted to. The same is true of the optional "candidate match" fields (your skills, your years of experience): they exist only in that browser tab's memory for that one analysis.

What we do collect

This site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — things like which pages get visited, roughly how many people visit, and what device/browser they use. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and may collect standard technical information (such as your approximate location from your IP address, browser type, and referring page) under Google's own privacy policy. It does not receive the text you type or paste into the job description box or the candidate-match fields — that data is never sent from the page to Google Analytics or to us.

Cookies

JD Decoder itself does not set any cookies and does not use `localStorage` to remember anything about you between visits. Any cookies present on this site come from Google Analytics, as described above.

Third parties

We don't sell, rent, or share any information with third parties beyond the standard Google Analytics processing described above. There are no advertising networks, tracking pixels, or session-recording scripts on this site.

Children's privacy

This site is a general-purpose utility not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If how this site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. This policy is provided for transparency and general informational purposes and isn't a substitute for legal advice about your own use of the site.
